Lesson 8.3: Make Positive Changes to Your Body Image

Negative “Redefining”: People with body image concerns tend to make negative predictions about their appearance which may be biases. This predictions encourage body avoidance and checking and create recurrent critical thoughts about one’s self.

Dysfunctional “Redefining” Beliefs: are irrational thoughts that maintain body image concerns.

Do you have any of these dysfunctional beliefs? 
Success depends on being thin
Only thin people have successful relationships
I cannot get on with my life until I am thin
My sex life will be better if I am thin
I will get that promotion when I lose weight
