Thai Grilled Beef Salad

Delicious thai beef salad in bowl ready to eat

Serves :             4

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 600gm rump steak
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 80ml soy sauce
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup fresh coriander leaves
  • ½ cup  basil leaves
  • 2 sliced red onions
  • 250gm cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 400gm cucumber,  sliced
  • 100gm spinach or lettuce

 

SWEET AND SOUR DRESSING:

  • 125ml lime juice
  • 60ml fish sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 sliced fresh red chillies (optional)

 

METHOD:

 

  1. Brush oil and kechap manis onto beef in a dish , cover and refrigerate for 30mins.
  2.  Toss herbs, onion, shallot, tomato and cucumber in a bowl, mixing them.

SWEET AND SOUR DRESSING:

  1. Put ingredients in a screw-top jar and shake well.
  2. Grill beef on a heated oiled grill till charred slightly.
  3. Stand and cover for 10mins.
  4. In a bowl, put the beef, lime leaves and mesclun, together with the herb mixture and dressing.
  5. Toss to combine.
