Oats with blueberries and walnuts

Oats, berry and walnutsWalnuts are a great superfoods as they are loaded with omega 3 healthy fats and I have reminded you about the anti-oxidant properties of blueberries previously.  What a great combination.

Serves: 1

Time taken: 10 minutes


1/4 cup rolled oats

300 mls  of water

1/4 cup frozen berries

1/2 tbsp chopped walnuts (nuts can be eliminated if allergic, and extra frozen berries added)

1/4 tsp cinnamon

200 mls of milk


  1. Cook the oats with the water in the microwave for 2 minutes. Stir and cook again for 1-2 minutes until all the water is absorbed
  2. Stir in cinnamon, berries and walnuts
  3. Stir in milk
  4. Reheat to the temperature you like (as it gets cold after adding frozen berries)
